Fotona4D® is a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments of both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization without injectables. With two laser wavelengths (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) and 4 treatment modes, anti-aging is comprehensively approached from 4 different levels, working on deeper, medial and superficial connective structures of the skin, as well as targeting imperfections.
The four "dimensions" of Fotona4D® refer to four distinct treatments with Fotona’s SP Dynamis or SP Spectro systems: SmoothLiftinTM, FRAC3®, PIANO® and SupErficialTM, all harnessed in concert to combat facial aging, with little or no downtime or anesthesia, and that can be performed all year-round.
SmoothLiftinT
A revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG intraoral treatment for controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction. In addition to an immediate effect resulting in the shrinkage of collagen fibers, the initiation of new collagen generation occurs. The effects result in an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity in the treated tissue as well as a plumping effect to the nasolabial folds from the inside, much like a filler.
FRAC3®
A self-induced, fractional effect of the Nd:YAG laser and a specific pulse structure that generates tiny regional spikes of high temperature. This nonablative modality enables the treatment of specific, deeper imperfections to complement the effect of the intraoral treatment, as well as restore youthful texture.
PIANO®
A unique, ultra-long Nd:YAG pulse mode for the third stage of Fotona4D®. The laser causes bulk tissue heating safely and rapidly, from the outside in, by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. The PIANO® pulse is in the super- extended seconds regime mode, with a brushing technique for completing the full-thickness bulk heating with an overall synergistic tightening effect.
SupErficialT
A light cold Er:YAG ablation that gives a pearl finish to the skin. SupErficialTM additionally improves the appearance of the skin and reduces imperfections by using propriety VSP technology, enabling the operator to easily adjust the laser to an extremely controlled light peel, without thermal effects, for a no-down time, precise treatment.
SMOOTH EYE™
It's all in the eyes.
FotonaSmooth™ offers peri-Ocular resurfacing, this is a particularly popular treatment amongst those with age concerns. A laser light is used to lightly ablate the surface of the skin, softening the appearance of wrinkles, tightening the skin and lifting dropped contours. This treatment can be used as a stand-alone treatment or used after having had anti-wrinkle injections to prolong results. With no need for needles or invasion of the skin, this is a key treatment for anyone wanting a non-surgical eyelift.

Is Smooth Eye™ better then Botox?
Both treatments have very successful, proven results. Suitability is dependant on each individual case and quite often the treatments are combine for optimum results. When will I see results?
At skin mod we use the revolutionary award winning Fotona SP Dynamis for both permanent hair removal and skin rejuvenation. The laser wavelength can be manipulated to generate targeted thermo reactions in the skin; resulting in powerful clinical results. Our laser treatments are FDA and CE approved to provide fast, effective and safe results. In most cases improvements can be seen after just one session, though this is subject to each case. A course of treatment is needed wth the use of homecare for optimum result.
Will it hurt?
This treatment will not be completely free of sensation but it will not be painful, you will require a patch test 24 hours prior to your first session, within this you will be abe to experience the sensation, you are expected to feel a warm pickle sensation during the treatment. A topical numbing cream will be applied to the area prior to treatment to insure maximum comfort.
How many treatments will I need and how often?
Due to the nature of the treatment, the amount of sessions required are dependant on your natural body response. An average treatment plan consists of 3 treatments to be had 6 weeks apart. Top up and maintenance sessions may be required.
Are there any side effects?
There is some downtime involved when receiving this treatment, these side effects should subside within 5-10 days, though this is dependant on the severity of the condition, skin type and treatment had. After your treatment your skin may be: red, itchy, sensitive to touch, flaky, scabbing, in rare cases it may be bruised and swollen all with be mild to moderate in severity.
